Ransom wine in first Sunday Evening Auction
A plea for 50 donations of $100 has gone out.
With a bid somewhat north of $100, a generous contributor to the Mahurangi West Hall mulch fund could come away with a warm feeling and a case of Ransoms’ wine.
Tomorrow evening, the Mahurangi Magazine will auction a case of Ransom Wines containing three bottles each of Mahurangi, Clos de Valerie Pinot Gris, Barrique Chardonnay and Carmenere. The cellar door value for this case is $294.
The auction idea was prompted by the typically supportive response of Ransom Wines—Robin Ransom:
We are a bit too cash-strapped at present to consider donating dollars for the mulch project, but if there were to be a raffle or suchlike we are always happy to donate wine…
Bids will be accepted up to 8pm, or thereabouts—the exact time will be determined by how quickly the bids can be processed.
Bids, with the permission of the bidder, will be available for viewing below, during the evening.
